Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week? We've been gearing up for Christmas at the store for a month now, and while we love every twinkle light, life-sized reindeer and flocked tree in sight, we didn't want to skip over the chance to reflect on how grateful we are for everything we've been blessed with this season and every day.
This year I am feeling especially thankful for home. Not just the physical place where we all begin and end each day, but the safe haven from the world where each of us can truly relax and recharge. Having a well-designed home is certainly not critical to having a well-loved home, but it can make a huge difference in the way you feel in and about your space. I am grateful for the platform that Nuance Interior Designs gives me to create a beautiful space not only for my own family, but for so many of our clients and customers as well. Thank you to each one of you who have opened up your home to me and allowed me the privilege of designing your home. I've designed hundreds of homes over the years, and each one is special and unique to the family that lives there. It means so much that you've opened up your homes to me and trusted me to design a space that you feel proud of and comfortable in.
This Thanksgiving, whether you're opening up your home to friends and family, or visiting family at their homes, I hope you have a wonderful time and soak up the holiday with those you love.
If you need a quick and easy presentation that makes an elegant statement for an appetizer or hostess gift, may I suggest a serving board from our Kitchen Collection? We used a few of our favorite pieces to show how quickly and beautifully an appetizer could be put together. The beauty of a board like this is that you can fill it up with any assortment of items you have on hand and it always looks incredible. I filled our marble and wood striped stag board with goat cheese, salami, grapes and pistachios. I kept our rustic board simple with an easy spread of roasted red pepper hummus and pita chips. The deer cracker boat kept extra crackers close by. Don't fret if you don't have these exact ingredients on hand, almost anything you have will work. The magic combo for a great
charcuterie board is something crunchy + something creamy + something savory + something sweet. Get creative and use your imagination!
Sure I love this idea because it's and beautiful and delicious, but I also love it because it comes together quickly and easily - meaning less time prepping in the kitchen and more time relaxing gathered around your loved ones.
Wherever you are and whatever you're feasting on, all of us at Nuance Interior Designs would like to wish you a happy, healthy and stylish Thanksgiving! If you need a little help feeling more comfortable and confident in your home this season, schedule a design consultation, and let's talk about how we can transform your space into something you love.
